Within the role of Acquisition Management Analyst, you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development. You will perform critical acquisition planning, management, and reporting to inform acquisition and contracting decisions that will ensure program success. Our Analysts prepare correspondence, briefing materials, and other documentation in support of the joint program office. They also establishes and utilizes appropriate management information and feedback systems to review, control, and report on assigned projects. Interacts with working level program offices, support organization, and functional system contractor employees in support of the assigned program(s) and project(s). Works independently but may interact with more senior acquisition managers and project leaders to review completed or in-process work for overall adequacy and accuracy.

Work Location: This position is a hybrid role in Arlington, VA (2 days/week on site). Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success
- Assist the Joint Program Office (JPO) with enterprise-wide Procurements and enterprise procurement metrics using the Procurement Management Tool (PMT) of the Navy NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) suite.
- Participates as a member of and support the JPO, as needed.
- Perform tasks related to the Procurement Process, Product Management Team (PMT) management, small business contracting and management, scheduling (e.g. the Enterprise Integrated Master Schedule [IMS]), and enterprise risk management.
- Apply knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of program management and systems acquisition to inform the planning, organization, and coordination of critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of aircraft systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- Track and report program/project statuses, including cost, schedule, and performance.
- Perform EVM tracking and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- United States Citizen.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Education Requirement:
- Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- OR Associates Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Work Experience Requirements:
- A combined total of at least six (6) years of relevant experience
- At least four (4) years of past six (6) performing programmatic analysis or planning in support of a a government program.
- At least two (2) years of experience working in direct support of a major defense acquisition program (MDAP) .
- Direct program management or technical analyses experience supporting a weapon system's acquisition lifecycle management.
- Experience at the PMO level performing Planning Programming Budgeting Execution (PPBE) related tasks.
- Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBE, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR), Work Requests, Requisitions, Data Item Descriptions (DID), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and Form DD254.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or familiarity with the DoD 5000 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) series of policy and guidance, Federal and DoD acquisition regulations and the Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) .
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with DoD reporting tools and major reports.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including: Outlook,Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of the Procurement Management Tool (PMT) of the Navy NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) suite.
- Experience using PMT to plan, execute, manage procurements, monitor milestones, contract work in progress, and Procurement Initiation Document (PID) packages.
- Experience using PMT to support Integrated Product Team (IPT) contract and workload planning, Long Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF), Planned Future Actions. (PFAs), workload planning, bridge contract reporting, procurement planning to execution/award, predictive planning/risk modeling, electronic contract file, records and document management.
- Experience using a Task Management Tool / Enterprise Task Management System Software (ETMS) to upload tasks, coordinate tasks, update tasks, and close out tasks.
- Experience using project management tools, such as Jira or MS Project.
- Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
- 5th Generation Fighter acquisition management experience.
Salary Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, training, certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational needs.
