Description

We are looking for a Mid-Level Acquisition Specialist to support the Electronic Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Accelerated and Simplified Tasks (eFAST) Program Management Office (PMO).  This role will:

  • Carry out predetermined, recurring, and ad hoc tasks in direct support of the government client’s requirements owners. 
  • Provide thorough full life cycle, “cradle to grave” acquisition and contract planning, support and administration.
  • Provide support functions that may include acquisition planning, purchase order/procurement request support documentation preparation, solicitation preparation, market research/analysis, source selection and administration of terms and conditions, negotiation and preparation of contract award and modifications, cost/price analysis, support government in the evaluation of contractor performance, contract administration support, contract termination, and contract close-out. 


Work Location: This position offers a hybrid schedule – you’ll work 1 day per month on-site either in Washington, DC or Herndon, VA, and Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA. What You'll Do:

Within the Mid-Level Acquisition Specialist role supporting the eFAST contracting vehicle, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing contract pre-award and award support in all areas of the acquisition, within established timelines.
  • Proactively leading acquisition tasks within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment to meet established procurement or contract timelines
  • Establishing trusted business advisor relationships with requirements owners
  • Performing detailed analysis and evaluation of contracting matters, and the initiation, development, and recommendation of contracting policies, procedures, guidance, and control for contracting activities.
  • Preparing pre-award and post-award contract documentation
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise for and assisting in the development of acquisitions strategy development, planning, risk identification, and sourcing priorities.
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise for and assisting in the development of task orders for the eFAST blanket purchase agreement (BPA). 
  • Developing and delivering contracting-related briefing and / or meeting materials
  • Providing source selection advisory support
  • Providing support during contract negotiations and contract closeouts.


Must Haves:  
 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 24 hours in business-related courses in any of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • 5+ years of combined related Acquisitions, Contracting Officer, and/or Contracting Specialist experience required. In-depth working knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies, and be knowledgeable and experienced using electronic media, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to proficiently and effectively distribute and manage high volume workload.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Investigation security clearance.


Nice to Haves:
 

  • One of the following related certifications: DAWIA (Contracting) Level II or higher, FAC-C Level II, III.
  • Proficiency in contract writing systems such as PRISM.
