Overview:
 

Within the role of Acquisition Management Analyst (Junior, Mid, or Senior), you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development. You will perform critical acquisition planning, management, and reporting to inform acquisition and contracting decisions that will ensure program success.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success
  • Participates as a member of and/or supports the overall PMO
  • Apply knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition inform the planning, organization, and coordination of critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment
  • Track and report program/project status to include cost, schedule, and performance
  • Perform EVM tracking and analysis

 

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Education Requirement:
    • Senior-Level: Masters’ degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
      • OR Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
    • Mid-Level: Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
      • OR Associates Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
    • Junior-Level: Associates Degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
  • Work Experience Requirements:
    • Senior-Level:
      • At least ten (10) years of experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
      • At least of six (6) years out of 10 years of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
      • At least three (3) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).
      • Expertise in Service and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests, Work Requests, Requisitions, Contract Data Requirements List, and DD254 is required
    • Mid-Level:
      • At least three (3) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
      • At least four (4) years out of eight (8) of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
      • At least two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
      • Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests, Work Requests, Requisitions, Contract Data Requirements List, and DD254 is required
    • Junior-Level:
      • At least one (1) year of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
      • At least one (1) year of experience related to defense weapon systems acquisition
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or familiarity with the DoD 5000 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) series of policy and guidance, Federal and DoD acquisition regulations and the Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with DoD reporting tools and major reports
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills
  • Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
  • Familiarity DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03 (International Agreements), and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
  • 5th Generation Fighter acquisition management experience
  • F-35 Lightning II program knowledge and expertise
  • Experience with and knowledge of acquisition challenges associated with a Contractor Supported Weapon System (CSWS)
