Description

In this role you will provide professional Contract Administration services to NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX pursuant to standard concepts, practices, and procedures as described within the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and NASA FAR Supplement (NFS).  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of award and administration tasks through the full acquisition life-cycle. Works under general supervision and typically reports directly on assigned workload to our NASA customers.  Position is part-time for 25-27 hours per week and 100% remote.
 
What You'll Do: 
 
Successful candidate will be assigned to support Johnson Space Center as a part of the NASA Agency-Wide Acquisition Support Services (NASA AWASS) 2.0 program. Tasks include a focus on interagency agreements (IAAs) from requirements development through award and administration in accordance with NASA policies and procedures. 
 
Must Haves:
 

  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and 4 years of equivalent experience OR a high school diploma and 8 years of equivalent experience
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Mid-level procurement experience
  • Ability to operate remotely as part of a team
  • Ability to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes, prepare contract files and associated electronic documentation and create procurement actions (e.g., contract, order, mod) for contract execution
  • Knowledge and skill in researching acquisition procedures and requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
  • The candidate shall have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and through media such as video conferences and teleconferences.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Nice to Haves:
 
  • Experience with NASA systems (SAP, PPS and IRIS) and processes is highly desired
  • Professional certification in contracting is highly desired
